Prints

Photographic prints offer the highest quality archival paper and ink ensuring vivid color and superior finish that will last generations. Choose from gallery grade photo paper showing high detail, bright color and a beautiful lustrous finish, or elegant heavy-weight fine art paper with a soft feel, discreet texture and deep atmospheric color for a truly stunning display piece.

Selecting a Size

Measure the area where you would like to hang a print and take into consideration any matting and framing you may add that will increase the overall dimensions. Aim for a print that occupies 60-70% of the wall space and coordinates proportionally with furniture, ideally between two-thirds and three-fourths of the furniture width. You can also mix and match prints arranged into various layouts creating a visually engaging display.

Selecting a Paper

Selecting a paper is in part a personal preference, but the particular photo you have selected and where you intend to display your print are also of importance. Each paper type has it’s benefits and drawbacks. Photo paper might be best for those wishing for maximum contrast and the deepest blacks. This is great for photos that compliment a stonger look. This paper also has some resistance to the elements if left exposed, however in strong lighting, even with its lustrous texture finish used to reduce glare, it may exhibit some reflections. Fine art paper is a much thicker stock that speaks a higher quality, its colors are softer and exhibit great depth that compliments a more refined look. It has minimal reflection and therefore does well even in strong light. However, if left exposed it can be more susceptable to the elements as it is more delicate. Keep in mind adding a glass or acrylic sheet over your print in framing will also change the dynamics of how it appears. It’s always best to talk to your local framer, and allow them to provide you their expertice in best displaying your print in your particular desired location.
